Specially arranged as a thanksgiving for the life of Evelyn R M Reeve (nee Cansdale), who died on 19th August 2024, aged 85. Evelyn rang her first peal at Bures in 1953. She was a loyal member of the local band for 70 years, and also served as SW District Secretary for a long period.
Today’s band included some of Evelyn’s leading peal ringers, and we were very pleased to be joined by Martin Cansdale, who discovered a distant relationship to Evelyn a few years ago. John Loveless and Stephen Pettman were unable to ring today, but wish to be associated with this peal.
