To mourn the passing, on the eighth day of September, of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Defender of the Faith.

God Save the King.

The tenor bell tolled at minute intervals – one toll for each year of her reign.

Tolled shortly after 2pm whilst the late Queen’s coffin was processed through Edinburgh from the Palace of Holyroodhouse to St Giles’ Cathedral.
