Paddington via Twyford Elizabeth Line Toilets: in block next to church and in some public car parks Uneven tower steps, 30-40 steps 11.30am to 12.15pm Shiplake, RG9 4BS, St Peter & St Paul 8 (9-0-15) Church car park adjacent to the hall by the main road. DO NOT come down Church Lane or park in the turning area which is private property; note there are 2 disabled parking spaces there. Train station 1.5 miles to the church. Toilets: in the church Steps: down 2 steps from outside Lunch Ringers’ recommendation: Playhatch between Sonning and Shiplake: The Crown – 16 th century character, now a gastropub – car park – RG4 9QN - book@thecrown.co.uk Please book your lunch via me, or directly via email/website stating you are with the Middlesex Bell Ringing Outing to be seated together. Picnics: in Sonning churchyard, or pass on through to the riverside. There are other local pubs and cafes. 2.15pm to 3:00pm Sonning, RG4 6UT, St Andrew 8 (20-1-4) Church car park via gate, near the Bull pub Toilets: next to church Steps: 22 circular steps 4.15pm to 5.15pm Hughenden HP14 4LA, St Michael & All Angels 8 (14-3-19) The church is within National Trust grounds of Hughenden Manor. All requested to use the large Church car park – then walk uphill to NT Hughenden Manor if visiting (similar walking distance from main car park); advised to push wing mirrors in to avoid damage by cows which freely walk around. Toilet: public toilets available in garden of cottages near church or at the Manor. Steps: 14 solid stone, note the last one is higher than the rest Electric transport cart to Manor from main car park if needed. | |
