Dedicated to the memory of Sedley James Collins; and commemorating the forthcoming 125th anniversary of his first peal; Plain Bob Major rung on these bells 2/10/1897, aged 14. He was wounded in action and died of war injuries, 25/1/1919, at Dartford, Kent. Also fondly remembering Shelagh R Melville (Collins), his great-niece. (see also RW 2018; 5617/8, p1280).
